Philippe Glur – Managing Director

Philippe Glur has 15 years of industry experience. He graduated from Lausanne Hotel School, and then worked for more than 11 years with Hyatt International in four different countries. After postings in sales and marketing and various revenue management positions, he joined the Europe Africa and Middle East (EAME) headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland (30+ hotels, 6000+ rooms) in charge of revenue management, and later, of pricing, distribution and marketing operations. Philippe was responsible for a team that looked after revenue management, pricing, electronic distribution and business intelligence.

Achievements as Director of Revenue Management (later Director Pricing & Distribution) for 34 Hyatt hotels in EAME:

• Implementation of Revenue Management Systems (IDeaS) and processes in more than 20 hotels
• Introduction of a new reservation system in all hotels
• Definition, implementation and control of Hyatt’s pricing strategy for all hotels
• Assisting hotels in efficiently using PMS and CRS data through a central business intelligence application (Cognos)
• Definition and implementation of Hyatt’s on-line distribution strategy
• Supporting hotel sales teams in pricing and contracting
